Hi All!
Have finally 'floated me boat', only to find that after having the engine run ok at home in a barrel of water, she just doesn't have any 'guts'. images/icones/icon18.gif
Think it may be a t'stat or reed problem. Only thing is, the engine is a 1963 Johnson Evinrude outboard-is it still possible to get spares for these relics?? And if so, does anyone know where??
Please help, as Google only brings up spares catalogues.... images/icones/icon9.gif
ANY help gratefully recieved!

Here's to sunny skies and calm seas!

They are very very hard to get bits for.

Best bet is to look for an alternative engine. Yamaha are very good, as are Mariner and Mercury.

A duff engine will ruin your boating, do not waste time with it.

"Silver Dragon" is a Birchwood 33 based at Bray marina.

You could try Seacat Marine and Leisure Ltd.  They specialise in breaking all engines. I have used them and they are very helpfull.
