July 27th perhaps?

A day after the Maidenhead river event, nothing else going on as far as I'm aware...

Deepest apologies:

I have missed a family event, and will have to change the date to either the week before, or the week after (Sunday 20th July, or Sunday 3rd August)

I have planned a run downstream from Bray to Wraysbury, where we can hopefully meet up with any lower upper Thames Birchwood massive foundlings, and back up to Windsor where we should be able to find some moorings (By the rail bridge perhaps) and enjoy a barbeque and celebratory drink together, before heading home, after a full regalia sailpast for the Windsor residents!

With any luck, our Burgees and Regalia should be in hand too.

We may only see four or five boats this year, but next year, 10, perhaps 15, which would require booking an entire island with any luck!

Could we please find the best date, and have the full support of the members. Non Thames based people are more than welcome to join us in No Regrets for the day, and share the helm

This from Boatone on the YBW.com Thames Forum.

For info.

Due to circumstances beyond our control weekend of 20/21 September is not possible as Windsor Yacht Club are holding their sail past and club dinner on the Saturday evening.

We had already established that the rest of September was a no-no and October seems dodgy weatherwise so.......

Mike Gates and I have established that August 30th (weekend AFTER Bank Holiday) is best option and you are invited to accept this as the new date or, unfortunately it looks like the only other option is to cancel.

So, the plan is Get Together at MDL WIndsor Marina Saturday/Sunday 30/31 August. Mike will shout a Fish and Chip type supper courtesy of MDL and we will use the Windsor Yacht Club premises which also has a BAR !!. Music will be provided and non MDL berth holders will get a bargain overnight mooring package for just £10 (usually £15-20 depending on boat size.

Also trying to see if we can arrange some sort of breakfast for Sunday morning.

More details later but hope enough of you will decide to run with the new date so we can have a ' bit of a do' !

The YBW event is nice & easy for the Bray based Birchwoods.

I am sure all would be welcome... the Thames Forum is intended to cover other inland waters too.

If you have not been there do visit..

www.ybw.com/forums  and select The Thames Forum.
