Looking through the back pages of the Motor Boat Monthly I saw an advertisement for Birchwood boats - announcing they are back! See www.birchwood.co.uk for evidence that indeed they are and are exhibiting at the Southampton boat show.

Does anyone know the background to this re-incarnation, its completely passed me by?

It seems to be a rebranding job, but Birchwood don't make the boats.
YBW discussed it a while ago  :/

'No Regrets' is now a beautiful Broom 30, berthed in Bray, on the River Thames. I used to own a Birchwood, honest!

Old Name, New boats and they all look like jelly moulds and have Alien eye shaped windows YUK!!!
Not like the sleek, pleasing to the eye, proper job lines of a B25

'Proper'

Thats the word...

You only have to look at classic stuff like Fr**mans, Seamasters, Birchys and so on, to realise how much space was gained by those practical 'proper' lines.

I appreciate the pointy Sports cruisers are better offshore, but as far as Thames use goes, the best 20-30' stuff ever made in terms of comfort, space, and usability is proportioned like one of these 'proper' vessels.

The Head Office address is a residential house in the middle of a Bracknell housing estate.  I guess they make the boats somewhere else.
