Hello, I have just brought a Birchwood 22 and want to change the helm seat from a wooden box to a pedestal. Needs to be 35ins high so I can see to steer! Having trouble tracking this height down, any help would be much apprecated.
Thanks

Hi Dolly and welcome to our forum.  You will often see folding seats for sale on ebay; prices about £40-50.  Then you need to buy from a chandlery, or ebay, a pedestal upper and lower fixing plate and a length of steel tube to suit these fixing plates and also the length that you require. The base fixing is screwed to the floor and the other to the underside of the seat. The beauty of this type of seat is that if required the seat and steel tube can be lifted off to provide extra space in the cockpit.Should suit your needs.
