Hi Vicki and Gary. Great to hear about another 22 as there are not many around. Our 22 Bright'n Early) is based down on the Thames and we have had a lot of fun with her. Hope you enjoy yours. Robin

Yeah good to know there are a few 22s about, we are under alot of pressure here from the big old 25s!Any one know how many 22s were built? So what is yours - engine drive etc? I'm on the broads by the way. |

Hi Stuart, Ours is a 1978 (we think) with a diesel perkins engine (i think!) my husband is at work so not sure of other details but will let you know. The boat is called "Cherise" not a bad name i suppose so think we'll keep it.We are on the Witham in Lincolnshire near Boston which is nice but no where near as pretty as the Broards! Can i ask , when you put your canopy down do you take it off completly? Seems a right faf , on our other boat there was a space behind the rear caockpit seat where the canopy folded neatly into but the only way we can make the birchwood look tidy is to take the whole thing off , ok but if you get a sudden shower it takes ages to put back on and you have to moor up , realy annoying, just wondered if we'd missed something obvious! Hope you can help! Vicki & Gary |

"we are under alot of pressure here from the big old 25s!" You obviously haven't met a Birchwood 33 yet! 33 feet 6 inches long, 11 feet 2 inches wide and weighs in at 6 tons!
| "Silver Dragon" is a Birchwood 33 based at Bray marina. |

Vicky e take just the side windows off if the weather looks dodgy - maybe yours doesnt let you do that. As you say Ramage a 33 Birchwood is a bit of a beast - mind you at this time of the year the broads becomes a bit mad with all those nutters on hire cruisers! |

Thanks Stewart, Yes the sides do come off and i presume that you have to do the same as us then and take the rest off completly or leave up ! Still never mind sure we'll get used to it and learn to watch the weather forcast or just leave it up , think we must have been spoilt before only took 30 seconds to put up or down .Still jealous of you being on the broards even with the "holiday makers" !!!!
