Hi Fdisk! Welcome to the forum! I have a diesel engine on my boat and our rev-counter's broken so I've no idea what sort of revs to advise but... ... we always travel at about 4 - 5 knts and that seems qwuite comfortable for us. Much more than that and (on our river system at least) we're leaving a lot of wash and making the ducks bob up and down too much! Whereabouts are you based?

Sounds about the same as No Regrets which is fitted with the Sea Tiger! Just under 2000rpm is the correct Thames speed, 5mph. I seem to remember 1800rpm, but then it depends which direction one is travelling in...
| 'No Regrets' is now a beautiful Broom 30, berthed in Bray, on the River Thames. I used to own a Birchwood, honest! |
