So it all started back in 1979 with a brand new Birchwood 25 which my father decided to purchase.

Incidents with low bridges and a trip to the bottom of the Thames have taken their toll and now the work begins in earnest.

Personally I think I am in real trouble with this one and am looking forward to as much assistance as possible over the coming weeks/months/years/decades (delete as appropriate)

The Sea Panther motor has been stripped, un-seized and rebuilt by yours truly and the entire starboard interior (everything) has gone through serious water damage.

Vessel (Dunlin II) is currently on a farm outside Newbury feeling very sorry for herself and in need of ideas. Specifically I am interested to know if there are any layout diagrams which exist for the B25's as I couldn't find any of the marketing info which I thought was in the Gallery.

Also has anyone ever found a hardtop and screen kicking about anywhere?

Looking forward to the banter and I will keep you posted on the "project" with some piccies.

Remember it's not a sprint!

Moored up near Thames and Kennet marina, by Sonning house, is a derelict B25 called Waterbed.

Find who owns her, and I'll bet you can tow her home for nowt.

The roof is intact....forget the interior though!

'No Regrets' is now a beautiful Broom 30, berthed in Bray, on the River Thames. I used to own a Birchwood, honest!

Thanks for the heads up about Waterbed.

I went along and had a chat with a former owner of the boat and it seems that after she sunk and was refloated she has since been sold and is in the process of a restoration.

I have decide I am going to stick with the softop pram-style hood and get a new one made up.

Will keep you updated with progress.
